brookhaven perform a certain hybrid of electro-avant and drone-rock out of Oakland, California, constructing originative instrumental passages by way of bombinating electric guitars, warbling synths, incisive drumming and various programming, with a sharp ear for fusing their atypical arrangements with a rapturous melodic sensibility. culminating close to a years production efforts, the groups new ‘Transitive Verses’ LP is a singular and futuristic audio landscape which drifts seamlessly between reflective shoegazing melodies, dreamy electronic pop and cavernous drone passage. featuring the production work and performances of Sonny James, Bret Winans (DRSLONE), Nick Andre, Ryohei Hinokuma and Clay Payton, 'Transitive Verses' evolves the hypnotically textured repetition of 2001's 'Everything That Rises Must Rise' into a remarkable series of mid-fi sound collages and full-band arrangements compiled from session recordings over the past several years...as elucidating to behold as it is to hear.

the live band has been recently expanded as well, seeing longtime players nick andre (bass), sonny james (guitar) and bret winans (synth) joined by new drummer Michael Jacobs (of Porch fame), guitar player Ryohei Hinokuma, and the synth and voice talents of cecilia elguero.
