eric lendl is an artist and writer from oakland, ca. he also happens to be a co-founder of expel records who, while no longer directing expel day to day, continues to lend his insight and charisma to the label, as well as some fine graphic design work here and there. originally, eric was one-half of our graphic design team (alongside shawn conte) and is responsible for the cover art of our ‘sons of winded armies’ compilation, plus one of four covers from our ‘wreck process’ compilation. he is currently designing the sleeve for the upcoming clay payton record, to be released later in 2005. recording for us under the name ECRU (with bret winans), eric discovered his ear for sound and co-produced the classic expel single ‘metabolic’, as well as played keyboards on the song ‘automaton still-frolic’, found on expel records ‘wreck process’ compilation.
recently relocating to NYC to try his luck, as well as be closer to a loved one, we wish him all the best with his upcoming projects. if you are looking to have any sort of graphic design work done, you should contact him for sure, because he is truly great.
